The Future

The pictures below show the current condition of the once proud St. Anthony church. Over three years of neglect has taken its toll on the wonderful structure. This church, which served thousands of Polish immigrants for over 100 years, has been left to deteriorate amidst the urban decay that surrounds it. The historical marker that declares it to be a special place still stands, now surrounded by weeds. We can only hope that those who came before us will forgive us for our failure to preserve the efforts of their faith and sacrifice. However, we pray that this web site in some small way will show that we have not forgotten them.
